Our staircases are custom-built at our joinery shop and made from top quality joinery timbers, normally with MDF treads where carpet is to be laid or pine treads where stairs are to be preservative treated and/or stained or varnished by the client. Where possible a staircase should be positioned over the existing staircase to appear internally that the property was built originally as a three-storey house. Spindles, newel posts and handrail are manufactured as near to the existing balustrade design as possible.
Where stair width and pitch are always controlled by Building & Fire regulation, the principle of good stairs is that when you walk up and down them they will feel exactly like your existing flight.
