The vast majority of our potential customers know what they would like to achieve developing their redundant roof space. Following your initial enquiry we will need to visit your home to ascertain that it is technically possible to build the loft conversion you desire.
We will be able to illustrate to you varying possibilities of design as related to your property, taking into account whether your construction will fall within Permitted Development or requires Town & Country Planning approval.
Additionally, we are able to advise you of current Building and Fire regulations that will require us to meet specific statutory regulations concerning headroom, ventilation, smoke detection, egress in the event of fire, etc.
As well as designing a layout floor plan incorporating your requirements, we will discuss various other materials options available, to ensure that your new loft extension is distinctive and tastefully finished. Once you are satisfied with our project proposal we will then prepare a full Specification of Works and a fixed contract price.
Should you then decide to proceed with our contract, the company surveyor will need to carry out a more detailed house survey, prepare the appropriate plans and structural calculations and submit these to your Local Authority. A copy set of these plans is sent to you for your retention. | |
